Pestphos may be used for fumigation of silos, ships or warehouses. A fumigant is a chemical that exists in a gaseous state, at a required temperature and pressure; which at a sufficient concentration is lethal to the pest being treated. Phosphine generated from Aluminium Phosphide is an economical, effective, easy-to-use fumigant. It controls pests in grain, flour, plant products, wood, processed food and other stored commodities. It penetrates well into the stored grain material and after aeration, leaves no toxic residue. The active constituent on the tablets is 560g/kg Phosphine (PH3) present as Aluminium Phosphide. They are classed as a Group 2A insecticide. The tablets (.6gm each) are sold in flasks of 1.0Kg (1666 Pellets).
